Quality Control Identification were done by experts in the field of malacology and subsequent data cleaning occurred in the form of station coordinate verification, nomenclature status using WoRMS, removal of records that were ambiguous. Only occurrences identified to species level or lower were included and duplicate catalogue numbers checked and fixed. Type specimens received special attention to ensure the type status and type numbers are correct.
